Religious Education at Saints Peter and Paul Parish supports parents as the primary educators of their children in the Catholic faith as they grow into disciples. Our program is designed to promote a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ and to instill in children a desire to model Christ in their lives and to live as one with Him in thought, word, and deed. It is designed for students in Grades 1 through 8 and prepares children for the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation.
Saints Peter & Paul Parish recognizes and affirms the dignity of every student. Active participation in faith formation is encouraged for those who live with learning or behavioral differences. Students will be mainstreamed when possible. The alternative REACH program is also available for children or adults of any age who need more specialized attention.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Our program depends on the many generous volunteers who offer their time and gifts to our parish. We always welcome new volunteers to our program and encourage parents or other family members - as well as all other parishioners - to prayerfully consider joining us. Volunteers often find that they grow in their own Catholic faith through their involvement. You don't need to have a child in the program to volunteer!

Children’s Ministry classes are for parish children who do not attend the parish school or any other Catholic school. Formal faith formation begins in first grade. Because formation is an ongoing process where each year of learning builds upon the last, it is expected that children in the program enroll in classes each year. Children who have missed a year or more of formation will be assessed for proper class placement.
Confirmation is conferred in the fall of Confirmation 2 (typically 8th grade). Preparation for this sacrament begins in "PreConfirmation" (typically 6th grade). The completion of the 5th grade curriculum is a prerequisite to register for PreConfirmation.
Children and adults with disabilities - whether physical, mental, or emotional - for whom the conventional religious education program is not adequate will find the REACH program is structured to meet the needs of each individual. There is no cost for this program due to the generous support from the Knights of Columbus. Families from all parishes are welcome to participate.
Participants' ages for the Children's REACH Saturday morning program typically ranges from age 6-18.
Adult Reach participants meet on Wednesday evenings.
