Altar servers are a very important part of our liturgical celebrations as serving at the altar is a calling and like all ministries requires dedication and dependability. Boys and girls in grade 4 and higher are eligible to assist the priest at weekday and Sunday Masses, weddings, and funerals.
The World Apostolate of Fatima, Our Lady's Blue Army, is a public association of the faithful whose mission is to help people learn, live and spread the message of Our Lady of Fatima. Contact Paulette Shea if interested in joining us.
This program is currently not running. We provide an opportunity for children in Grades 1-4 to experience scripture and prayer at their age level during the Sunday liturgy in the Holy Family Chapel. Leaders proclaim the Sunday readings from the Children’s Lectionary and break open the Word through guided reflection, dialogue, and prayer. We take children from the assembly after the Opening Prayer and return with them at the Preparation of the Gifts. Contact the parish office for more information, 630-355-1081.
We are blessed at Saints Peter and Paul to have our own Adoration Chapel. We are members of our faith community that come to the St. Francis Adoration Chapel to spend an hour adoring Jesus Christ. It is through our personal sacrifice, commitment and faith that this ministry is possible. We are able to keep the Chapel open Tuesday (8 a.m.) to Saturday (3 p.m.) for people to stop by whenever they want to pray in the real presence of our Lord. For more information visit the website here. With questions, please contact Kathy Durow at adorerkd@gmail.com.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion receive sufficient spiritual, theological, and practical preparation to fulfill our role with knowledge and reverence. We must be practicing Catholics who are a least 8th grade Confirmandi. We are appointed for 3 years and scheduled approximately once every 3 weeks.
We focus on praying specifically for our parish priests. We make a year-long commitment to spend an hour in prayer (at home or in front of the Blessed Sacrament) every week for the priests of our parish. Throughout the year we host 3-4 Holy Hours with Benediction for our parish priests. For more information contact Deacon Joe Verdico.
We are young men of high school age who seek to experience Godly masculine adventure, battle and beauty, with a foundation firmly grounded on fraternity and formation. We serve at Mass and perform other works of service for the parish. Contact Fr. Michael Groth if interest in joining us.
When the Scriptures are read in the Church, God himself is speaking to his people, and Christ, present in his own word, is proclaiming the gospel. We must wear appropriate dress and are scheduled approximately once every three weeks.
We are a lay Catholic association whose members are giving service to the Church, on a voluntary basis, all over the world. Regular works include door-to-door evangelization, nursing home visitation, visiting new parishioners and parish families with newly baptized babies, crowd contact and distributing Catholic literature, bringing the Pilgrim Virgin statue of the Blessed Mother to houses to consecrate them, and Enthronements of homes to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Contact Paulette Shea if interested in joining us.
Note: This program is currently not running. We provide childcare during the some Sunday AM Masses in Room L24 in the Ministry Center for children between the ages of 9 month and 5 years.
Sacred Music is a hallmark at Saints Peter and Paul Parish. Whether you would just like more information or you would like to share your musical talents with the parish, please contact Jay Yau, Director of Sacred Music.
We are charged with the care of the sacristy, the church, and their contents and prepare the Church for Mass.
Servers are needed to celebrate the Mass in the Extraordinary Form as outlined in Pope Benedict XVI in his Summorum Pontificum dated July 2007. The motu proprio specifies the circumstances in which priests of the Latin Church may celebrate Mass according to the Missal promulgated by Blessed John XXIII in 1962. Our Mass is celebrated by the FSSP. for more information see the Latin Mass Community website.
We help at weekend Masses with seating, taking the collection, orderly reception of Communion, and distribution of bulletins. We also have the important role of welcoming people as they enter the church.
We are a group of parishioners that meet to encourage and promote vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
