Pre Cana Marriage Preparation

Pre-Cana seeks to prepare you for married life by sharing with you the experience of married couples on the real-life issues that arise over time in a marriage. Host couples share their thoughts and experiences on various topics such as finances, communication, marriage, children, family planning, stress, in-laws, intimacy and faith.

Our Pre-Cana Program is offered on Sundays four times a year. The dates are listed below. Pre-Cana begins by attending the 8:00 AM Mass on the Sunday of the session you choose. Please arrive 10 minutes before Mass and sit in the pews reserved for you at the front of the church on the right side of the main aisle. After Mass, Pre-Cana couples will gather in the lower level Social Hall of our Ministry Center Building —the first building north of the church. Pre-Cana will end at approximately 4:30 PM.

Light morning refreshments and a light lunch are served. Call the Parish Office, 630-355-1081, to reserve a place in our Pre-Cana Retreat. To ensure that you can attend the session of your choice, please make your reservation well in advance.

Natural Family Planning (NFP)

Help to educate couples with the lifelong knowledge of their combined fertility as husband and wife. Couples who attend an introductory class of Natural Family Planning will come away with the knowledge of being able to identify when they are naturally fertile and infertile. Instruction in Natural Family Planning will equip couples with an understanding of how to achieve their goals to postpone pregnancy, achieve pregnancy and space their children.

Ss. Peter and Paul offers classes on how to learn the Billings Ovulation Method of Natural Family Planning. Additional information on the Billings Ovulation Method can be found at their website: www.boma-usa.org .
To register for a class, please contact the church office by calling 630-355-1081. There is no fee for those preparing for marriage at SS. Peter and Paul Church; however, a fee will apply for all others attending the class.

Couples should also check out another useful and very informative website on the issues of contraception and Natural Family Planning: www.janetsmith.excerptsofinri.com

All NFP Classes are held in the St. Paul Center on the 2nd Saturday of every month from 9:30-11:30 AM.
