Adult Confirmation - Spring 2010
Who: Adult Confirmation Sessions are intended for
those individuals who:
- Are at least 18 years of age
- Have been baptized and received Holy Communion in the
Catholic Church
- Have been formally educated in the Catholic faith
until at least age 13 in a Catholic school, parish religious education
program, or home schooling.
- Have a firm grasp on the basic doctrines of the
Catholic Faith
At the discretion of the pastor and Director for the
New Evangelization, it may be determined that an individual is better suited
for the RCIA process to complete the sacrament of Confirmation.
When: Sessions are held Sundays from 9:30am-11:00
am unless otherwise noted.

April 18 – The Sacramental Economy/Baptism
April 25 – The History and Theology of Confirmation
May 2 – No Session
May 9 – The Holy Spirit and the 7 Gifts of the Spirit
May 16 – The Rite of Confirmation
May 23 – Pentecost: The Celebration of Confirmation
Monday, May 24 7:00-9:00 pm –
Mystagogy: Prayer, Sacramental Life, and Mission
Where: Ministry Center Council Room (Upper Level)
A few other details:

Participants are asked to attend mass together at 11:00 in the
main church after our sessions.
·
Sessions will consist mostly of lecture-format catechesis and
Q&A
·
Handouts will be provided as needed.
·
There is no fee for the session, but a free will offering will
be taken on the last session to help defray the cost of materials.
·
It is imperative that each participant celebrate the sacrament
of Confession the week prior to May 23rd. Times and other
details will be provided.
·
A valid baptismal certificate MUST be provided by May 9th.
