The Youth Group at SS. Peter
and Paul currently meets in the Teen Zone Monday & Thursday nights at 7:00 PM;
bring a friend and drop in to say hello - Mike is anxious to meet you!
The Teen Zone is located in the
St. Paul Center for New Evangelization
on the corner of Benton and Brainard streets.
Monday Night Bible Study
On Monday nights YG meets in the Teen Zone from 7-9 pm. The time is broken up into four parts
- social time, prayer, Bible study, and game time!
Social Time- Gathering teens can grab some snacks and drinks. They can play pool, foosball, or ping pong. Some teens just relax and talk.
Prayer time - We may go to the Adoration Chapel, pray a rosary, or do some Scripture mediation.
Bible Study - focusing on what God and the human author want us to understand from the book that we are reading.
Game Time - For the last half hour, we usually play a group game. If it is warm, we may go outside and play soccer or dodge ball.
Thursday Night
The youth group meets every Thursday night from
7-9pm. Again the night is divided up into several parts, as
follows:
The first 15 to 20 minutes, the youth group
has social time. The teens are free to shoot pool or play
games. There is also food and drinks available for them.
Pray. We do various forms of prayer to the
rosary to meditating on Scripture.
We then will deal with a particular topic.
We may discuss teen dating, Heaven and Hell, or the Eucharist.
Lastly, we usually end the night with a
game.
