Pastoral Care

Pastoral care derives it’s name and nature from the meaning of shepherd and suggests the work of the shepherd with the flock.

The ministry of pastoral care is a compassionate presence in imitation of Jesus’ care of people.

Pastoral Care affirms the act of mercy directed by Christ to care for the sick, comfort the dying, and to be a beacon of encouragement, love, and support to the Parishioners of Sts. Peter and Paul.  It is a way to connect those in need with our Priests, Deacons and Pastoral Ministries.

Because of the Right to Privacy laws, Sts. Peter and Paul is not notified of parishioners who are hospitalized, homebound, or have entered a health care facility. We must hear from the parishioner, family member, or friend if they would like to be visited by a member of the pastoral care team.

If you know of someone who is in need of emotional/spiritual support or would like to receive Holy Communion or Anointing of the Sick, please contact Paulette at (630) 718-2127 or pshea@sspeterandpaul.net.
