From the Diocese of Joliet
The Center for Family Ministry
recognizes how difficult it is for families that have
experienced a painful transition such as divorce or death of
a spouse. One of the things that we do at The Center for
Family Ministry is offer and promote programs to assist
families as they experience the sorrowful times of their
lives. On that note, we would like to inform you about an
upcoming event that you may wish to attend.
On
Saturday, March 20, 2010, The Center for Family
Ministry is sponsoring a conference entitled, Risking
Faith, Achieving Joy. The day, exclusively for
the divorced and widowed and those who care about them,
features Father Tony Palazzolo.
Father
Tony is a consultant for the Family Life Office of the
Diocese of St. Augustine in Florida, where he presents
workshops and seminars on parenting, divorce adjustment,
faith, relationships and other related subjects. In 2008,
he was awarded the James J. Young award by the Catholic
Divorced Ministry for his many years of dedicated service to
this ministry.
The
day will also include reflection, prayer, discussion, and
some time for relaxation, and will end with a 4 p.m. Vigil
Mass, celebrated by Bishop Imesch. The requested $35.00
donation includes morning coffee, lunch, and materials. You
may register by calling The Center for Family Ministry
(815-838-5334). All faiths are welcome to come. |
